About the brands
T1TAN
A German direct-to-consumer glove brand with a wide range of cuts and latex grades, well known among amateur and semi-pro keepers in Europe. Sells direct rather than through retail, which tends to keep prices below the big sportswear brands for comparable latex.
One Glove
A UK-based goalkeeper glove specialist with a broad range from junior to pro-level match gloves. One of the more established independent glove brands in the UK market.
Aviata
A US-based independent glove brand with a following among college and amateur keepers, known for distinctive designs across a range of cuts and price points.
ProvenGK
A UK goalkeeper glove brand and, for full transparency, the company that runs this site (see About). The Durashield 2.0 is its glove aimed specifically at artificial surfaces. It's included in this comparison on the same terms as everyone else, and the durability test applies the same protocol to it as to the other three.
How to read the durability claims
The "brand's own durability claim" column quotes or closely paraphrases what each brand says on its own product page. Those are marketing statements, not test results; they're included so you can compare what's promised against what the wear test eventually measures.
